At most online stores, finding the best savings is as simple as tapping via the banner at the top of the homepage. Chewy is different. Instead of the homepage, the best place to look is your cart.
On the right-hand side is the "Available Savings" section. By tapping "View All" if there are too many offers to include, you'll see a wide variety of savings with and without discount codes. Or that's what we see as we have our cart filled with almost 50 separate items to best see what savings are available.
The summer section in September, 2026, includes seven codes. These cover areas such as dry food, wet food, pharmacy, Purina, and first orders. We see another four discounts available without discount codes. These include a Vibeful offer, dental treats, and bird food.
One way to proceed is to add to your cart all that you could need for the next few months to see what available savings are shown there. Then reduce the number of items in there depending on what discounts you find.
It's better to let Chewy do the work for you in gathering the discounts. They've done it. The savings are just not where you would expect them to be. Once you know, though, it saves the looking.

Ordering your pet prescriptions from Chewy can save you more money than buying directly from the vet. Compare both prices before your pet's next refill.
On Reddit’s r/Pets community, a thread titled “Medication prices at veterinary practices” described a local vet charging $100.00 for a 30-day supply of mirtazapine. The cat owner wrote that Chewy Pharmacy listed the same medication at $0.15 per tablet, totaling $4.50 for the month. That saved the cat owner $95.50!
We suggest asking your vet for a written prescription so you can fill it at an outside pharmacy. Then place the order on Chewy Pharmacy and enter your vet’s clinic details so Chewy can request approval. As some vet offices don’t approve requests electronically, follow the instructions Chewy shows at checkout for that medication.
Chewy also offers prescription-specific promo codes. You’ll find a 20% off promo code or one for $20 off $49 spent on our Coupons.com page. The pharmacy promo codes include “RX” in the text, and they’re one-time use.
Shoppers can stack one pharmacy promo code with the first-time Autoship bonus (35% off, capped at $20) at checkout. Item-level savings apply first, reducing the price of the eligible product in your cart. Then the Autoship discount applies to that reduced price. Lastly, the pharmacy promo code applies at checkout to the order total.
We always keep a wide mix of items in our Chewy cart so we can see as many available promo codes as possible and check which ones stack. In summer 2026, we saw 25% off Pro Plan wet dog food and supplements with Pro Plan dry dog food and 25% off a specific dry dog food stack with the pharmacy and Autoship discounts.
The $20 or 20% pharmacy discount comes as a Chewy gift card. Keep this insider info in mind: Multiple Chewy gift cards work on a single order when you check out while logged in. However, guest checkout limits orders to one Chewy gift card.
