If the price of an item drops within 14 days of your purchase, you'll get the difference back with Target's Price Match Guarantee. A $400 TV that drops to $350 means you get $50 back with one request.
Target only matches their own prices, meaning the lower price can only come from Target.com, the app, or a store ad. Items have to match exactly in brand, size, color, and model. Screenshots and photos are not accepted as proof, so here’s how you can get your savings:
In-store: Request a price match at checkout or Guest Services. Have proof of the lower price and your original receipt.
Online: Chat with Target online. Have the lower price, your order number, and item information ready.

Get 5% off eligible orders with the Circle Card
With the Target Circle Card, you get 5% off every eligible Target purchase at checkout, in-store and online. A $200 order becomes $190, saving you $10 before activating any other offers.
The card comes in a debit version, which is linked to your checking account, and a credit version. Plus, there's no annual fee for either.

Both cards save you 5% in-store, so they work well for in-store shoppers either way. The debit version is the safer choice since it links directly to your checking account and doesn't charge interest. The credit version has extra rewards, but it comes with more risk.
The credit version earns 2% back on dining and gas, and 1% back on other outside purchases. Most general cashback cards offer similar or higher rates, so this works best for frequent Target shoppers. It has a variable APR of around 28%, and having a $200 balance for one month adds about $4.60 in interest, which can cancel out your 5% savings.
Students save 50% on Circle 360, plus seasonal discounts
Verified students get Target Circle 360 for $4.99/month, which takes 50% off the regular price of $10.99/month. That saves $72 per year.
The main perks of 360 are free 2-day shipping and same-day delivery on eligible orders over $35. You also get extended returns and early access to sales.
During back-to-college season, verified students can also receive a one-time 20% off Target Circle coupon. The promotion usually runs June through September, though in 2026 we saw it start in July. The coupon can be used storewide, and it stacks with dorm and apartment essentials on sale. It doesn't apply to clearance items or BOGO deals.
Who qualifies: Target Circle members currently enrolled at a degree-granting college or university.
Here's what you need to do to verify:
Open the Target app and go to "My Target," or log in to Target.com and go to "Account"
Tap or select "Settings"
Select "Student Verification" (app) or "Verify Status" under "Discounts" (Target.com)
Submit the required documents showing your school name, full legal name, and current enrollment date. Accepted documents include a school ID with expiration date, class schedule, or tuition receipt.
If your verification was not approved: Check for common issues, like using a nickname instead of your legal name or a typo in your birth year. Also make sure all information matches your official school documents exactly.
What to know about returns, registries, and the app
What the return policy covers
You can return items to Target for free. Most new, unopened items can be returned within 90 days. Circle cardholders get an extra 30 days, for a total of 120 days.
Target-owned brand items, like All in Motion, A New Day, up&up, and Room Essentials, can be returned within one year with a receipt. Most registry items can also be returned within one year of the event date.
Returns are processed in-store, by mail, or through Drive Up using the Target app. Some large and heavy items, like furniture and electronics, qualify for return pickup.
Refunds:
In most cases, your refund goes back to the original form of payment
If multiple forms of payment were used, your refund goes back to each payment method
If you make a return in-store without a receipt or return barcode, you'll receive a merchandise return card for credit
Items with separate return policies:
Electronics and limited-time collections have their own return windows. Check the product details page before making a purchase.

Use a Target registry to save on the items you still need
Target lets you create a registry for weddings, baby showers, and birthdays. After your event, they'll send a 15% off coupon for any registry items that were not purchased as gifts. A $400 leftover balance becomes $340, saving you $60 in one order.
While your registry is active, you also get special pricing and price matching on qualifying items.
The 15% discount applies to a wide range of eligible registry items. It works best when you include higher-priced items like furniture, strollers, or appliances.
What you need to do: Add the items you need to your registry first. The discount applies to whatever is left after your event, so the more you list, the more you can save.

The free Target app doesn't offer new discounts, but it does put all your active Circle deals in one place.
