At Sephora, you can shop for makeup, skincare, fragrances, hair tools, haircare, and beauty accessories online or in-store. Some Kohl's locations now have a Sephora inside, which makes it convenient for in-store pick-ups or returns. Sephora offers in-store services like makeup applications, beauty lessons, and waxing.

Sephora’s return policy
Sephora has a free 30-day return policy; the 30-day countdown starts from the purchase date. Items must be in new or gently used condition. You will lose the Beauty Insider points that you have earned when you make a return. Proof of purchase is required, like a packing slip, email, or receipt.
If you ordered the wrong shade of a $50 foundation, Sephora's “gently used” policy allows you to return it and get the correct shade.

In-store, same-day, & pick up order returns
Must return to a free-standing Sephora store (Not Sephora at Kohl's).
Can not be returned by mail.
Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats returns go through the marketplace, not Sephora directly.
Delivery fees and tips are not refunded.
Gift returns
You should return a gift at a Sephora store to avoid refunding the purchaser. With gift returns, you will get a merchandise credit or exchange. Make sure to bring in the packing slip, order or shipping email, or gift receipt.
Sephora at Kohl’s returns

Must return to Kohl's stores & follow Kohl's return rules.
Still a 30-day window from the purchase date.

How to get free shipping at Sephora
Become a Beauty Insider member to get free standard shipping on all orders, saving you $6.95 on orders under $50. Standard shipping takes one to three business days.
Non-members get free shipping on $50+ orders. For orders under $50, there is a shipping fee of $6.95. Sign up to become a Beauty Insider for free shipping, even if you don’t order often. This will save you $6.95 on small orders.
When you order $35 worth of skincare products, it will ship for free for Beauty Insiders. For non-members there order total will increase to $41.95.
Use store pickup to avoid shipping fees
Store pickup is free with no order minimum or extra fees.
Orders are typically ready to be picked up within four hours. For orders placed within four hours of closing, it will be ready the next morning.
Curbside pickup is also available at select locations.
Choose store pickup when you need items fast and live near a Sephora store. This option is quicker than standard delivery and will save non-members $6.95 for orders under $50. When you are already spending $50 or more and can wait, select standard delivery.
Pay for same-day delivery when you need it fast
Same-Day delivery fees start at $6.95.
Have a two-hour delivery window.
This service is available only in select cities and zip codes.
Orders are delivered via Uber, DoorDash, or Shipt.
Use this delivery option only when you need your items quickly and can not go into a store. Tipping is also expected with this service. Don’t pay extra in fees if you can drive to a Sephora location and purchase your items yourself.
Same-Day Unlimited is best for frequent orders
This is a subscription service that costs $49 a year.
There is a free 30-day trial for new subscribers.
Subscribers get unlimited free same-day deliveries as long as you order before the local cutoff time (shown on the product page).
Same-day delivery fees start at $6.95, so you would need to place at least eight same day deliver order to cover the yearly fee. Make sure to cancel anytime before renewal to avoid the $49 annual charge. For individuals who don't shop here often or live outside the eligible zip code, we wouldn’t recommend signing up.

Beauty Insider members should hold off and shop the Sephora Savings Event, which happens twice a year. Our data shows that this is a major sale that occurs in the spring and fall. In 2026, the spring sale was in April, and you can expect the fall sale in November. This is the only time you will be able to get up to 20% off all beauty brand products and 30% off the Sephora Collection. We shopped the sale twice this April and saved a total of $150 with the VIB 15% discount.
