Turo's cancelation policy
You can cancel a rental booking for free as long as it's within the cancelation period set by the host. Cancelation periods will vary. In some cases, you can cancel for free up until 24 hours before your rental is scheduled to start. In others, you have 24 hours from the booking period to cancel. If your rental period starts within 24 hours of you making the booking, you have one hour to cancel.
Canceling within the set period will get you a full refund. Cancelations made outside of the set period don't include a refund. In some cases, you may have to pay a cancelation fee. We were not able to find the exact amount this fee costs, as it's up to the host. You can view the full cancelation policy, including exceptions, on Turo's cancelation page.
One thing we found when testing rental bookings was that you can save money by choosing the non-refundable option. With one rental, the non-refundable section was $28 less than the refundable selection. In another case, the discount was $57. You still have the option to cancel within 24 hours of finalizing your booking, but after that you forfeit the right to request a refund.
