We recommend you check competing sites immediately after booking. On a recent stay, we found our $150 a night hotel for $130 elsewhere. We were able to get $20 back per night, saving us $100 on our five night stay.

Cruise guarantee (110% back):
Booking.com also offers a price match guarantee for cruises, offering up to 110% back if you find a lower price on another website within 48 hours.
To file a claim fill out their Cruises Price Match Guarantee form and their team will contact you over email within 72 hours.
When we tested this on a $2,000 cruise, we found it for $1,900 on a competitor site within 48 hours. We were able to get $110 back, which was 110% of the $100 difference. The extra 10% makes checking worthwhile even for small differences. We recommend setting phone reminders for 47 hours post-booking to check prices before the window closes.
The price match guarantee is most helpful for those booking stays in advance with time to monitor competitors. Last-minute bookings under $100 may not be worth spending the time to file a claim because your return could be under $10.

Book through Booking.com's app to access mobile-only rates. Look for the green "Mobile-only price" labels on listings. These app-exclusive prices save you 10% or more on hotels, vacation rentals, and car rentals compared to desktop prices for the same properties.
When we tested this, we found the same Miami hotel for $22 less per night on the app versus the website. On a multi-night stay, this adds up. In this example, you could save $88 on a 4-night stay. Genius level requirements and rewards:

Look for the blue Genius label to find all the properties and car rentals you can use your loyalty discount on. Discounts and rewards are automatically applied to stays and rental cars when you are logged into your account.
All the bookings you make through Booking.com, regardless of the Genius label, will count towards your progress in Genius. Once you unlock a new level, your access to its rewards will never go away as long as you are signed in.
The Genius loyalty program is great for frequent travels. All you need to do is complete bookings regardless of the cost of the trip to progress levels. The Genius Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card is great for travelers who book through Booking.com. Travel Credits can't convert to cash and expire after 24 months unused. We wouldn't recommend the card to those who book hotels primarily through other sites or hotels directly.
