An Uber voucher is a digital credit provided by an organization, business, or event host that subsidizes the cost of your rides. Vouchers come with specific rules set by the sender, such as restricted locations, specific timeframes, or expiration dates.

For example, in 2024, Atlanta’s MARTA public transportation system distributed Uber vouchers to supplement gaps in their service, such as in the very early morning or cancellations. Those vouchers were restricted to specific bus route locations and timeframes.

You should use vouchers when your employer or transit authority offers them as a commuter benefit. If the vouchers’ terms don’t match your needs and using them would require changing your commute for a small saving, then ignore them.

As of June 2026, these are the current in-app payment offers:

In the app, all the perks you can use while traveling can be viewed on the Travel with Uber One page under Exclusive Offers.

Uber One members get exclusive partner offers. In June 2026, we saw partner offers for 50% off FanClub (expires June 19th) and 20% off TopGolf (expires December 31st). Once these offers expire, new ones will take their place. To see these offers, go to your Uber One page and scroll to the “From Partners” section.

Students get Uber One for just $4.99 a month, which is 50% off the standard $9.99/month price. You start with a free four-week trial as an eligible first-time member, so you have time to see how much you'd actually save before you commit.

Your membership comes with all the same benefits as the full-priced Uber One.

To access the student rate, verify your student status through their Uber One for Students page. Your membership auto-renews monthly, but you can cancel anytime with no extra fees.

Uber One’s Refer-a-Friend offer is specific to their student program. Refer a friend, and you’ll both get $5 in Uber One credits when they join Uber One for Students. Your credits are valid for 60 days after your friend joins.

Scroll past the “Benefits” list to find the Refer a Friend button and open the page. At the bottom of the page, you’ll see your unique referral code. Under that, click “Invite Friends” to share your code via text, email, or social media apps.

To break even each month, you would need to take at least three rides and place at least three Uber Eats orders. For example:

• With 6% back, three $15 rides would earn you $2.70 in Uber Credits.

• Three $20 Uber Eats orders would save you around $7.50 in estimated delivery fees.

• The total monthly savings would be $10.20, effectively covering the $9.99 monthly. 

Using this math, if you take fewer than three rides and fewer than three Eats orders per month, the savings likely won't cover $9.99.

With four or more Uber Eats orders per month, the $0 delivery fee alone covers the membership fee, and the ride credits become a bonus on top. For rides-only users, you would need to spend at least $167/month on rides for credits to cover the cost. At an average of $15 per ride, that works out to about 11 rides per month.

This is a general benchmark, as ride prices and food delivery order totals vary greatly, and the other benefits could make a difference for you.
