My Sony Care renews automatically at $179.99 per year unless you cancel. Sign in to your Sony account before checking out. You won't earn My Sony Points on orders placed while you're signed out, and points can't be added later. Sony automatically applies your oldest points first. If items are returned, the My Sony Points you earned from that purchase will be deducted from your balance.

At $179.99 per year, My Sony Care is a good option for more expensive purchases, like TVs and cameras and you want added protection and a higher earning rate. For occasional or smaller purchases, the free tier will most likely cover what you need.

You have 30 days from the date of shipment to return most Sony products. Returns are not completely free as Sony deducts return shipping costs from your refund. Original shipping and handling charges aren't refundable, and you may be charged a 15% restocking fee.

If you return a TV that's 50 inches or larger, Sony deducts $150 from your refund. TVs and projectors also can't be dropped off. Sony's carrier will pick them up from your original delivery address.

Some product categories have different return windows:

To start a return, submit your request online to receive a FedEx QR code for eligible orders. Contact Sony within 14 days if your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item. Keep all the original packaging until you're sure you want to keep the item. If any accessories or packaging are missing, it could make you ineligible for a return.
