Costco’s return policy
Costco has a return policy that offers members a 100% satisfaction guarantee on membership and merchandise. If dissatisfied with your Costco membership, they will refund your membership fees at any time. Most merchandise is also refundable, though exceptions apply. These items have a 90-day return window from the date of receipt:
TVs and projectors
Computers and touchscreen tablets
Smart wearables
Cameras, drones, and camcorders
MP3 players and cellphones
Major appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washers, and dryers
Recreational carts ordered online
These items are non-refundable or restricted:
Airline and live performance event items
Precious metals
Shop Cards
Gift cards and ticket items
Cigarettes and alcohol where prohibited by law
Custom products made to a member’s specifications
Some items have special return instructions. Diamonds over 1.00 carat require original paperwork, and cellphone returns may vary by carrier contract. Hearing aids, contact lenses, eyeglasses, freight-delivered items, tires, and batteries may also have separate return or warranty terms.
Warehouse purchases must be returned at a Costco warehouse. Online orders can be returned at any Costco warehouse or through Costco.com.
