Meet your expert
I'm Tyesha, and I've been a savings guide at Coupons.com since 2023. For our Barceló Hotels page, I verify all the offers myself, and I comb through Barceló’s website to find all the ways you can save. I also work closely with the Barceló Hotels affiliate team to ensure our page always has valid savings. One of my top tips to save more is to book your trip in the app. You can review your trip details on desktop, but make sure you’re logged in and actually booking through the app to get an extra 5% off every time.

How to redeem Barceló's price guarantee
With Barceló's price guarantee, they will match a lower price you find after booking.
How the guarantee works
There are two conditions:
If you find a lower price on Barcelo.com after you book, submit a claim up to 72 hours before check-in. Barceló will match it.
If you find a lower price on a different website, you must submit your claim within 24 hours of booking and up to 72 hours before check-in. Barceló will then match the price and take an extra 10% off for you.
The third-party price match only works if you book at least 4 days before check-in. That's what gives you a 24-hour submission window while still staying outside the 72-hour check-in boundary.
So say you book a hotel stay five days out. You have 24 hours to find a lower price on a third-party site and submit your claim. At any point during that 24-hour window, you're still more than 72 hours from check-in. Both conditions are met, and so the claim is valid.
Now, say you book a hotel stay two days out. You have 24 hours to submit a claim, but you're already within 72 hours of check-in at the moment you book. There is no window where both conditions can be met simultaneously, so the price match is unavailable to you entirely.
How to submit a claim
To qualify, your claim needs to meet the following requirements:
Everything must match exactly including the same hotel, occupancy, currency, rate condition, prepayment terms, and modification terms.
The price difference from a third-party site must be more than €5 (about $6).
You cannot have used a coupon on the original booking, or the price guarantee doesn't apply.
You must include screenshots of the final checkout step showing all booking details.
The claim form must be submitted within the time limits mentioned above.
Once your claim is submitted, you'll hear back within 48 business hours.
Our strategy
After booking, spend a few minutes comparing rates on third-party sites. A third-party price match is the better outcome, since you get the lower rate plus an extra 10% off rather than just the straight match. On a $400 stay, that extra 10% is $40 back. For price differences near the €5 ($6) minimum, the effort isn’t worth it. For rate drops on Barcelo.com, check back periodically up until the 72-hour check-in cutoff.

Barceló has free cancellations
Barceló's cancellation policies vary by the specific rate or offer you choose. Most rates allow free cancellation up to a certain time before check-in, usually at least 2 days before. But review your booking details to be sure. Canceling within 2 days of arrival can trigger a 50% penalty on your booking price in some cases.
One booking strategy we stand by is comparing the flexible rate against the non-refundable rate. The flexible option costs a bit more upfront but saves you money when plans change unexpectedly. The sense of security is worth the extra $10 to $20 per night. Regardless, it all depends on the kind of trip you're taking and what kind of traveler you are. If plans are set in stone, then book non-refundable and save.
As added advice, always book directly through Barceló to know exactly what cancellation terms apply. Third-party sites have different policies that could cost you more or complicate the process.

Frequently asked questions about Barceló Hotels
Get 10% off stays with email offers
Barceló's email newsletter is one of our sources for learning about their latest offers. After subscribing ourselves, we noticed the most common offers are extra 10% off codes, flash sales, and early bird sales for specific seasons like summer or winter stays.
Sign up, and you'll get the latest Barceló codes and sales delivered up to twice a week. To subscribe, tap the sign-up button at the bottom of their website where it says "Subscribe to our newsletter!"
When you open their emails, you'll spot the discount right at the top, sometimes with a countdown for when it expires. You can also see how many stays you've had and how many discounts you've earned as a my Barceló member at the bottom of the messages.
Hotel savings all in one place
The Offers tab is the fastest way to see all the current savings offers on Barcelo.com. Once you hover over "Offers" in the website’s menu bar, you can see their current sale and top discounts on specific resorts.
Select "View all our offers" to go to the Offers page and see all the discounted properties laid out in front of you. We've found sales for up to 40% off bookings and 10% Barceló discount codes this way.
This page is worth browsing before you’ve settled on a specific property. You may find a resort on sale that fits your trip. With a specific hotel already in mind and a working coupon code, applying it directly at checkout is the better move.

Save with senior and military discounts
Barceló does not specify the exact discount, but seniors aged 65 and up do receive discounted hotel rates plus a best price guarantee. Active duty military and veterans get an extra 5% off their bookings.
Follow these steps to claim your group discount:
Create a My Barceló account
Enter your destination, dates, and number of travelers in the search bar
Open the discount box before clicking search
Check the appropriate box: "Senior (65 plus)" or "Military"
Click "Search" to see hotels with your discount automatically applied
Select your hotel and review the reduced rate in the booking summary
Bring valid identification to the hotel at check-in to verify your status. Without proper ID, the hotel won't honor the discounted rate.
Whether you can stack these discounts with the My Barceló member rate depends on the specific hotel’s policy and their limits for combining promos. The best way to check is to try applying both during the booking process on the official website. If both can be combined, the system will show you the final price with both discounts applied.
How to apply a promo code at Barceló Hotels
We've tested dozens of Barceló promo codes. Just follow these steps:
