How to redeem Barceló's price guarantee
With Barceló's price guarantee, they will match a lower price you find after booking.
How the guarantee works
There are two conditions:
If you find a lower price on Barcelo.com after you book, submit a claim up to 72 hours before check-in. Barceló will match it.
If you find a lower price on a different website, you must submit your claim within 24 hours of booking and up to 72 hours before check-in. Barceló will then match the price and take an extra 10% off for you.
The third-party price match only works if you book at least 4 days before check-in. That's what gives you a 24-hour submission window while still staying outside the 72-hour check-in boundary.
So say you book a hotel stay five days out. You have 24 hours to find a lower price on a third-party site and submit your claim. At any point during that 24-hour window, you're still more than 72 hours from check-in. Both conditions are met, and so the claim is valid.
Now, say you book a hotel stay two days out. You have 24 hours to submit a claim, but you're already within 72 hours of check-in at the moment you book. There is no window where both conditions can be met simultaneously, so the price match is unavailable to you entirely.
How to submit a claim
To qualify, your claim needs to meet the following requirements:
Everything must match exactly including the same hotel, occupancy, currency, rate condition, prepayment terms, and modification terms.
The price difference from a third-party site must be more than €5 (about $6).
You cannot have used a coupon on the original booking, or the price guarantee doesn't apply.
You must include screenshots of the final checkout step showing all booking details.
The claim form must be submitted within the time limits mentioned above.
Once your claim is submitted, you'll hear back within 48 business hours.
Our strategy
After booking, spend a few minutes comparing rates on third-party sites. A third-party price match is the better outcome, since you get the lower rate plus an extra 10% off rather than just the straight match. On a $400 stay, that extra 10% is $40 back. For price differences near the €5 ($6) minimum, the effort isn’t worth it. For rate drops on Barcelo.com, check back periodically up until the 72-hour check-in cutoff.

Barceló has free cancellations
Barceló's cancellation policies vary by the specific rate or offer you choose. Most rates allow free cancellation up to a certain time before check-in, usually at least 2 days before. But review your booking details to be sure. Canceling within 2 days of arrival can trigger a 50% penalty on your booking price in some cases.
One booking strategy we stand by is comparing the flexible rate against the non-refundable rate. The flexible option costs a bit more upfront but saves you money when plans change unexpectedly. The sense of security is worth the extra $10 to $20 per night. Regardless, it all depends on the kind of trip you're taking and what kind of traveler you are. If plans are set in stone, then book non-refundable and save.

Barceló does not specify the exact discount, but seniors aged 65 and up do receive discounted hotel rates plus a best price guarantee. Active duty military and veterans get an extra 5% off their bookings.

How to apply a promo code at Barceló Hotels
We've tested dozens of Barceló promo codes. Just follow these steps:
Sign into your My Barceló account
In the search bar at the top of the homepage, select your destination and travel dates
Click "Search"
Click "Book" on the hotel you want
On the booking page, click "Your discounts" at the top to open the discount panel
Enter your promo code or group/event code (only one at a time since they don't stack)
Click "Add" to apply it
Review the Summary section at the bottom of the panel to confirm your discount applied. The Summary section shows all active discounts including current sales and your My Barceló member rate. We always double-check this section to make sure our promo code applies correctly.
