Prime Day began as a one-day event and expanded to four days in 2025. Amazon also runs Prime Big Deal Days, a second Prime-exclusive shopping event that normally takes place in October and lasts for two days. From what we have seen, some deals on TVs and furniture can match or beat Prime Day prices.

• Make a list first. Decide what you want before the sale starts. It keeps your spending focused and helps you move fast when a deal goes live

• Set price alerts. Use the Amazon app to track price drops on specific items before the sale begins

• Act early. Prime members get early access. In our experience, the most popular items sell out within the first few hours

Today's Deals is where Amazon lists limited-time discounts every day. Deals change frequently and some sell out within hours. It includes several ways to save:

Lightning Deals

Lightning Deals are time-sensitive discounts that can save you over 50%. For example, a $100 Bluetooth speaker may drop to around $40. Each deal is limited to one per customer and includes a countdown timer and a status bar showing how many have been claimed.

A few things to know:

• Once all units are claimed, you can join a waitlist

• If a waitlist spot opens, you have 15 minutes to complete checkout before the deal moves to the next person

• During Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days, Lightning Deals may be exclusive to Prime members

Amazon Coupons

The Coupons section has digital coupons you can clip directly on the product page. Find them on items you need, like household essentials, personal care, electronics, and groceries. Click "Clip Coupon" on the product page and the discount will automatically apply at checkout. Some coupons stack with sale prices, but this depends on the promotion.

Amazon Outlet

The Outlet section has overstock and clearance items across home, fashion, electronics, and kitchen. Most items are new but discounted due to excess inventory or seasonal clearance.

Lowest price in 365 days

Some listings include a label showing when an item is at its lowest price in the past 365 days. This helps you quickly identify historically strong discounts.

Amazon Business Prime Card

This card is for business owners and teams, not personal shopping. It earns up to 5% cash back on select purchases. Most people doing personal shopping will find more value in the Prime Visa or Store Card.
