AbeBooks Coupon Codes & Offers in October 2026

You have 30 days for a full refund if the book doesn't arrive or there's a seller error. Your order would qualify if you received the wrong edition or the seller misrepresented the condition.

In the event you changed your mind, you have options as well. Most sellers accept those kind of returns too, but contact the seller directly first. Starting a return without reaching out can get it cancelled, which means eating the cost of a book you don't want.

Click "See More Buying Options" on any listing to compare every seller offering that same title.

Two filters that cut costs:

• Sort through used copies, which run significantly below new

• Look for listings marked free shipping

Shipping matters more than it seems here. A $4 used paperback with $6 shipping costs $10, while a $7 copy with free shipping costs $7. Always compare the total, not the listed price.

Yes, AbeBooks connects sellers with book buyers and collectors worldwide. As a seller, you can choose between two plans:

Basic (no monthly fee):

• $1 fee per item sold

• 15% commission on the first $500 per item

• 10% on any amount above $500

Premium (from $25 monthly):

• 8% commission (minimum $0.50, maximum $40 per item)

• $0 fee per item sold

• Processing fee: 5.5% on the first $500 per order, 3.5% above that

Premium's lower commission rate pays off once you're selling enough volume to offset the $25 monthly fee. Selling a $100 book costs $16 on Basic versus $8 plus your subscription on Premium. Roughly four to five sales monthly is where Premium starts winning.
