How the tiers work

Our honest take
Most casual shoppers will sit at Bronze, and with its rate, you get a fair return, but it is not a deep discount. And it only comes back as credit, so they are only worth it if you are planning to spend more Quicksilver products.
The free points are nice, though. If you complete all the free tasks, your points can add up to 260, or about $13, before you make a single purchase. Since you redeem in set amounts, you can immediately claim the $10 reward.
And one last thing, you will not earn points on an order that uses a gift card or promo code. So for a casual shopper, the code is often the better choice. Skipping it only pays off if you come back and spend enough to turn those points into a reward, and most casual shoppers will not.
