Referring a friend earns you a $15 discount. In the app, find the "Get $15 Off When a Friend Tries Postmates" button to reveal your invite code. After your friend uses your invite code to create an account, they’ll get $20 off their first delivery order over $25. Then, you’ll get $15 off your next delivery order over $25. You can refer as many people as you want.
Postmates perks with Uber One
Uber One is a paid membership that costs $9.99 per month with a monthly plan or $96 per year with an annual plan. Annual plans will save you $23.88, whereas paying monthly would cost you $119.88 over a year.
Members get the following perks on rides and from merchants marked with the gold Uber One icon:
$0 Delivery Fee on eligible food, grocery, and retail orders
6% back in Uber One credits on eligible rides
Up to 10% off eligible orders and restaurant deliveries
5% off eligible rides in the Uber app
You can sign up for Uber One through either the Postmates or Uber app. Because Uber One works on both Uber and Postmates, you can use your perks when you order dinner, groceries, and a ride. Subscriptions renew automatically. The fee is non-refundable once charged, but you can cancel or manage your membership anytime in the app.
Uber One is 50% off for students
Students get all the same benefits for just $4.99 per month or $48 per year, about half the standard price. Eligible students can enroll right in the Uber app:

To qualify, you'll share your name, birthday (must be 18 or older), school email, and university. Uber partners with SheerID to confirm eligibility. SheerID may ask for documents like transcripts, class schedules, or tuition receipts.
Is an Uber One membership worth it?
To see whether Uber One is worth the cost, we ran the numbers on a real Postmates order.
At a restaurant, we added a buffalo chicken sandwich and two chocolate chip cookies to our cart, for a subtotal of $27.17. After $1.20 in tax, a $2.99 delivery fee, a $3.53 service fee, and a $3.00 tip, the order would have been $37.89 total without a membership.
With Uber One, the delivery fee was waived, a $2.62 membership benefit cut the service fee down, and $0.98 in Uber One Credits from a past ride were applied. All together, the membership perks alone took about $6.59 off our order.
At that rate, two to three orders a month could cover the cost of the membership (one if you’re a student). Since you can combine these savings with cashback and promotion discounts, you could break even in one or two. Ultimately, your actual savings will come down to how often you order.
You can cancel anytime without fees or penalties, so there's little risk in seeing whether it fits your habits.
