Choose between three delivery methods at Petco to save up to 35% off. Auto-ship provides the biggest ongoing discounts for regular pet supply purchases.

Delivery and pickup options:

• Standard shipping: Free on $39+ orders

• In-store pickup: 10% off orders $50+

• Auto-ship: 35% off first order, then 5% off + free shipping forever

The 10% pickup discount often beats free shipping on orders $100 or more. This option will save you $10 or more, making the trip worthwhile.

When each option works best:

• Free shipping: One-time purchases over $39

• Store pickup: Orders $100+ when store is convenient

• Auto-ship: Monthly food/litter buyers saving $60-$120 yearly

Auto-ship locks in steady 5% savings but prevents capitalizing on deeper flash sales. The 35% first-order discount is worth signing up for even if you cancel after one delivery, since no commitment is required. Keep in mind, you can use the first auto-ship discount of 35% off only two times a year and for a max discount of $20 off.

Petco's 30-day return window with free in-store returns saves the $8-$15 return shipping costs charged for mail returns. Store visits can be worthwhile for returns over $20.

Return policy specifics:

• Days 1-30: Full refund to original payment

• Days 31-60: Store credit only

• In-store returns: Free with receipt

• Mail returns: You pay $8-$15 shipping

• Start online returns through account or "Returns" link

The shipping cost for mail returns destroys value on small items. Returning a $15 toy by mail nets only $0-$7 after shipping. For $50+ items, the return shipping becomes acceptable at 15-30% of value.

Strategic returns:

Store credit (days 31-60) works for regular shoppers who'll use it within months. But credit locks you into Petco's prices versus shopping competitors. Get full refunds within 30 days to maintain flexibility. The 60-day total window gives time to test pet acceptance which can be critical for picky eaters or cats who reject certain litters.
