Ariat gives free returns on orders for 90 days. Start with the three rules that decide whether a return actually saves you money:
Final-sale items can't be returned
There are no free size swaps
Your original shipping cost isn't refunded
A long return window is more than a safety net. A boot you bought on sale still has plenty of time to go back, so you don't have to rush the fit call or skip a markdown out of fear it won't work.
Stuck between two sizes? Since there are no free exchanges, order both at once if your budget allows, keep the winner, and send the other back. That's one return instead of a re-order plus a return.
Final sale prices are lower for a reason, so they only pay off when the fit is a sure thing. Trying Ariat for the first time or shopping for a gift? A full-price item you can return often beats a final sale price you're stuck with.
Ariat refunds the product price, not your shipping, so returns cost more when you've paid to ship. Unless you're an Ariat Insider, you get free returns all year.
To send something back, start your return via their return portal. You pay nothing to ship it back, and if you paid with a gift card, Ariat emails you a new one for the refund amount.
Plan on two waits for your money. Ariat sends the credit five to seven business days after the warehouse gets your box, and your bank can take up to 14 more business days to show it.

Joining Ariat Insider is free. The shipping is free with no minimum, plus free returns, are the everyday perks that make it worth it. Non-members get neither, so those two alone tend to cover their keep fast, especially if you order more than once a year.
The points are a nice bonus, but here's the catch most people miss. They expire 31 days after they're issued. So don't join just to collect the 100 welcome points and let them expire. Sign up when you're actually ready to buy, and put those points to work right away.
From there, it helps to space out your perks instead of burning them all at once. Use the 10% off on your first order, then save your birthday coupon or points redemption for a later one.
One more planning tip for bigger hauls. You can only cash in up to 2,000 points, which is $100 off, per order. If you're sitting on a large balance and a big cart, split it into two orders so none of those points goes to waste.

How to use an Ariat promo code
The steps are slightly different depending on how you shop. Whichever way you go, enter your code before you check out, and the discount shows up in your order total.
