Michaels returns within 60 days online or in-store
Michaels accepts returns within 60 days for an online purchase, as long as the item is new, unused, and in the original packaging. In your account, open Order History, click “View Details,” and then select Return under the “Need Help?” box. After you submit, Michaels shares next steps and refund timing.
Refunds of shipping and handling fees aren't available on mailed-in returns after a change of mind. If returning to a store, returns without a receipt require a valid photo ID, and the refund comes as a Store Return Card. Michaels bases it on the lowest price the item sold for in the past 90 days.
With Cricut returns, these must be unopened and with a receipt. Glowforge returns have a 14-day window and must be in a still-sealed box. Custom framing allows rework at the same store within 14 days of pickup. Lastly, clearance items and cut fabric count as Final Sale and so aren't eligible for a refund.

Get 20% off the 9% rewards with the Michaels credit card
New Michaels credit cardholders get 20% off on their first purchase when they use the card. This excludes items sold and shipped by third-party sellers but includes sale items. With rewards membership, credit cardholders also earn 9% in rewards, apart from on extended warranty purchases. You can apply on their credit card page.
Special financing offers “no interest” plans when paid in full within 6 months on $175+ purchases or 12 months on $349+ purchases. When the balance isn’t paid in full by the end of the promotional period, interest is charged from the purchase date.
Rewards tiers, earnings, and payout timelines
The revamped Michaels loyalty program launched on March 1, 2026. It now has three tiers: Red (3%), Gold (6%), and Platinum (9%).
Red: 3% back for joining and 3% in rewards on eligible purchases
Gold: 6% in rewards after $300+ in eligible purchases in the past 12 months
Platinum: 9% in rewards after $1,000+ in eligible purchases in the past 12 months
Bonus rewards apply to specific products or categories. Once the rewards balance reaches $5, a rewards voucher, which acts as a store credit certificate, is issued. The timeline for receiving this voucher depends on how you earned it. Standard everyday earnings are issued within 48 hours, while special promotional bonus rewards take up to 72 hours to appear.

Michaels fall and Halloween savings
Halloween Rewind includes six themed collections. The decor draws from vintage carnival styles, late ’90s references, and Victorian gothic romance. Larger markdowns usually arrive closer to late October.
Michaels is offering up to 40% off select Halloween items, including craft pumpkins and fall florals, and 30% off ceramic DIY items. The sale also features 25% off online-only Glitzhome decorations, plus savings on outdoor inflatables, skeletons, and party supplies.
Generally at Michaels, it's worth remembering that percent-off offers can reappear quite shortly after an “ends tonight” message. For that reason, a specific item in a Halloween sale that you missed may be back!
Another point is that online-only specials apply online, not at store checkout. So, store registers do not match those online-only prices.
