A good chicken recipe should be in every cook’s skill set, and this recipe takes all of the guesswork out of roast chicken. This might even be easier than waiting in line at the grocery store to pick up one of the deli rotisserie chickens!

The next time you’re planning your weekly meal plan, add this Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken to the top of the list and be prepared for moist, flavorful chicken, ready in less than 1 hour.

5-Ingredient Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken

YIELD: 4 servings

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 50 minutes


  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons onion or celery salt
  • 1 (5 pound) whole chicken, thawed
  • 1 cup chicken broth


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, paprika, and celery salt.
  2. Press saute button. Brown chicken breast-side-down until golden, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and brown for 3-5 minutes more.
  3. Add chicken broth into the Instant Pot. Cover, seal lid and twist vent toward ‘sealing’.
  4. Set Instant Pot to Manual HP (High Pressure) for 25 minutes.
  5. Allow to depressurize naturally (about 15 minutes). Once the floating valve drops, twist venting knob to to allow any last pressure to escape.
  6. Remove lid, transfer chicken to a serving platter.


For Slow Cooker – Place in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

For Oven – Bake at 250°F for 5 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 180°F
