Summer is just around the corner and soon we’ll be out and about with outdoor activities. Whether we’re on a family hike or the kids are at soccer camp, energizing snacks are a must! That’s where these Homemade Granola Bars come in to save the day. They require minimal effort and can be made ahead of time. Store in the fridge or a container before you’re ready to pack your on-the-go treat. Happy snacking!

Homemade Granola Bars


  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup cranberries

  • 1 cup sliced almonds

  • 3/4 cup maple syrup

  • 3/4 cup almond butter

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Stir in some savings with Aunt Jemima coupons.


1. Mix rolled oats, cranberries, and almonds.

2. Add maple syrup, almond butter, and chocolate chips to mixture and stir well.

3. Pour mixture into a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet and press flat.

4. Freeze for several hours to set.

5. Remove and cut into bars.

6. Store in a container or fridge. Serve as a bar or crumble over hot oatmeal or fruit.

Tip: If your granola bars are too soft and crumbly, add 2 mashed bananas into the mix before setting in the freezer.
