Three Fun Things to Do While You’re Stuck at Home

Running out of ideas yet? We found a few that you may not have checked out yet–take a look. (Dress code: your favorite athleisure outfit is perfect).

  1. Take a digital museum tour. Stay safe and “socially distanced” and still spend the day at a museum, no leaving the house required. Here are 12 museums that offer virtual tours, according to Travel + Leisure. You can check out famous locations in the U.S or abroad in Seoul, Berlin, Florence and more. Also, the Georgia Aquarium and the Monterey Bay Aquarium have turned on web cams so you can still watch otters, fish and penguins without the crowds.
  2. Host a Netflix viewing party. If you and your friends or family have a Netflix subscription, you can schedule a time to watch a movie or show synced together. A free Google Chrome extension called Netflix Party syncs video playback so you can play and pause at the same time. It also has a group chat feature so you can talk about the show while you’re watching. One condition: Everyone in the party has to have a Netflix account.
  3. Learn a new skill or language. Try an app like Duolingo or Babbel to learn that other language you’ve always wanted to know. Take an online class at Coursera or MasterClass.com. Get outside and grow your first garden or get in the kitchen and expand your cooking skills. Set goals and challenge yourself to try something new before we return to our regularly scheduled lives.
