1. Office furniture

When to Buy Office Furniture | thegoodstuff

Tax season puts us in a business state of mind, so many sales on office furniture happen around Tax Day — this year it’s on Tuesday, April 18. If you’re looking for a great deal on used furniture, check out county auctions. This is where schools and government agencies sell off their surplus office goods.

Look for coupon codes for popular office supply stores, like this one from Staples that saves you up to $100 on select office chairs and furniture (Exp. 6/30) or this one from Office Depot and Office Max that saves you up to $100 on select office chairs (Exp. 5/31).

2. Trees

National Arbor Day is always celebrated on the last Friday in April because you want to plant trees when weather is mild and the tree has a chance to establish itself before it gets too hot or too cold. Trees can be expensive, but a mature tree can add a lot of value to your property, making it not only pleasing but a worthwhile investment, too.

You’ll be able to save even more on gardening supplies and fruit trees with Burpee promo codes or a Gardeners Supply coupon.

3. Soyfoods

SimplyProtein Bar, Peanut Butter Chocolate, 12 Count, $22.94 at Amazon

Amazon SoyProtein PB Chocolate Bars

April is Soyfoods Month, which makes it an ideal time to try out soy-based products. Look for sales on all things soy at your local grocery store. Think beyond soy milk and tofu, and try a veggie burger, edamame, or a soy fruit bar!

Keep an eye out for grocery coupons for popular soy brands like Silk soy milk, Nasoya tofu, BOCA veggie burgers, and Cascadian Farm edamame.

4. Summer airfare

Book summer airfare by mid-April while the deals are still aplenty. Enter your itinerary into a travel booking site like Expedia and be sure to set up price alerts so you get a heads up when a great deal comes along.

If possible, plan your trip during shoulder season, which tends to be May, the first half of June, September, or October at many popular destinations. This means the weather is good but crowds are lighter and prices are lower.

Use CheapOair to save up to $30 off flights around the world (Exp. 12/31) or OneTravel for up to $60 off vacation package deals (Exp. 4/29) Plus, check out travel booking sites like Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, and Kayak too for a little extra helping with planning your trips.

5. Allergy medications

Spring is also home to one very unfortunate thing, allergy season. However, it’s also home to deals on all things allergy. Look for sale prices on HEPA filters, dust mite covers, and allergy medications.

When buying allergy medications, you have two ways to save — with a printable coupon from the Health Care section or at an online drugstore with a coupon code. Be sure to compare prices and save!

If sneezing and sniffles are a part of your day, gain some relief with a coupon to save $4 on any one Adult ZYRTEC® product (24-30ct) or save $4 on any Non-Drowsy Claritin® Allergy Product (30ct or larger).

6. Second-hand items

Between warmer weekends and spring cleaning, expect to see an increase in garage sales, flea markets, and perhaps better stocked thrift and consignment shops.

Visit flea markets on the opening weekend for a larger selection of items accumulated throughout winter. And if you have your own goods to offload, look for postcards in the mail for curbside donation pickup locations.

7. Vacuums

Kenmore Elite 31150 Pet-Friendly Upright Vacuum in Silver, $279.99 at Sears ($70 off with code)

When to Buy Cleaning Supplies | thegoodstuff

Last year’s vacuum models go on sale in honor of spring cleaning and to make room for new models that are usually released around June. Vacuums can get pricey, but it’s a worthwhile investment to get a vacuum that performs well. You don’t necessarily need to buy the $500 model, but plan on spending a couple hundred dollars and look for savings of around 20-30 percent off.

If you miss this year’s vacuum sales, look for coupon codes like this one from Sears that saves you an extra $25 on any $200+ purchase in-store and online (Exp. 4/30).

8. Athletic apparel

Better weather and longer days inspire many to up their exercise regiment. It also means more people are shopping for athletic shoes and stores are competing for your workout dollars by offering great sales. Designer discount stores typically have a well stocked athletic department in April with rock bottom prices.

Keep an eye out for athletic apparel sales and combine with these promo codes for a little extra savings: $10 off $100+ orders at Finish Line (Exp. 4/30) or 1o% off $75+ orders at New Balance (Exp. 5/6). Watch these pages for some bonus deals too — Nike promo codes, Adidas coupons, and Under Armour coupons.
