Step 1: Mini Babybel Cheese

Start with a pack of mini Babybel cheese wheels. Depending on where you purchase them, they can be found in a variety of colors—red, orange, yellow, and white. Pick your favorite color!

Unwrap the outer plastic, but leave the colored wax wrap intact. Now grab a pen and decorate to your heart’s content. I used a permanent Sharpie marker, because the marker ink does not seep through the waterproof wax. If you’re concerned about food safety, an edible food pen will also work.

Ingredients – Serves 6

  • 6 Babybel mini cheese rounds
  • 1 cup crackers or pretzels
  • Special equipment: sharpie or edible black marker

Unwrap cheese rounds by removing the outer plastic wrap. Use a black marker to draw lines on the outer wax, so each cheese round looks like a sports ball. Serve marker-side-up on top of pretzels. To eat, remove the wax wrapping and discard. Enjoy the cheese with crackers. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
