When the cold weather sets in, your face needs extra moisture. It’s important to add a moisturizing component to every step of your skincare routine, including cleansing. I love to add a pre-cleansing step to my fall and winter routines by removing makeup with a cleansing oil.

It may seem counterintuitive to cleanse your face with an oil, but cleansing oils are specifically designed to transform into a milky lather when mixed with water. Your skin will be left soft and clean, and you can always follow up with your normal cleanser to remove any excess oil.

Tip #3: Add a moisturizing mask to your routine
