Hi everyone! Coupons.com contributor Jessica here to tell you all about my experience with the Stitch Fix personal styling service.
Signing up for Stitch Fix was a radical departure from my normal bargain-hunting shopping habits. But I kept seeing my Facebook friends post pictures of their Stitch Fix finds and it looked like a lot of fun. So I signed up, and I’m on my third box and loving it!
If you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, here’s how it works. First, you fill out a style profile, which is fairly detailed. Then, choose a delivery date and you’ll pay a $20 styling fee when it ships. If you decide to keep any of the items, that $20 goes toward your purchase. If you decide to keep all five items, you get an additional 25% off.
Save on your box full of style with Stitch Fix promo codes!
When you fill out your style profile, I recommend that you create a Pinterest board with outfits you like as well. Then link this board to your style profile so your Stitch Fix stylist can get a better understanding of your fashion sense.
When you receive the items, you have three days to decide what to keep and what you’re sending back (in a pre-paid shipping bag). You also need to go online and fill out a return survey, which will help Stitch Fix improve your picks over time.

IN THE BOX:
- Street Level Juno Small Folded Clutch $48
I liked this clutch a lot when I first opened it, but I’m not sure about the chain detail. If it was a leather strap, I would probably keep it. The chain is a little long and I’m not able to adjust it. It’s going back.
- Renee C Gabe Bold Striped Maxi Skirt $48
I love the colors and style of this skirt, but it’s a little too big. It’s just a lot of fabric. I also feel like I can find something similar for a better price, so I’m definitely going to keep an eye out the next time I shop.
- Skies are Blue Samara Ruffle Front Sleeveless Blouse $38
While this isn’t what I had in mind when I requested a “Friday night out” shirt, I think if I layer this blouse, I could wear it to work. I’m going to keep it for that purpose. I love the detailing of the fabric.
- Liverpool Odell Capri Jean $78
I’ve kept a pair of jeans from each of my previous two boxes, so I was really hoping these would work out too. Unfortunately, they just fit all wrong. They’re tight in the calves and loose in the knees and thighs. These are going back!
- Mystree Redford Striped French Terry Zip-Up Cardigan $38
This is the best value I’ve seen yet in my Stitch Fix boxes. I have a closet full of hoodies, but I don’t own anything like this. It’s perfect with a pair of denim shorts for a summertime look. Keeping!
Overall Consensus: Even though I’m only keeping two things, this has probably been my best box yet. I liked everything in the box when I first saw it. Ultimately there were just a lot of fit issues, but my stylist totally found items that fit my style profile.
