If you want to skip the malls and shop from the comfort of your home, no problem. I’m Jeanette Pavini, savings experts for coupons.com and I’m here to tell you how you can save extra big on Cyber Monday.

It’s no surprise that the best place to be on Cyber Monday is in front of your own computer but keep in mind that this year retailers are making mobile shopping easier than ever.

So you can still score Cyber Monday deals when you’re on the go.

Retailers will use email and social media updates to reach you with their deals, so sign up for your favorite retailer’s email lists and follow them on social media before the big day. That way you’ll be the first to know about new promotions, flash sales, and even giveaways.

Even though sales are online, you should still want to be one of the first shoppers in the digital line. Some quantities are limited and low prices may only be available during a very specific time period.

Don’t expect to hit the sale after work on Monday and find all the deals waiting for you. If you want to score the best deals, find out when they go live and be ready to click “purchase.”

Factor in shipping costs when comparing prices between sites. There will be tons of sites offering free shipping and many of them with no minimum purchase required.

Another way to score free shipping is to choose in-store pick up. That way you can score Cyber Monday deals but pick up your item up at a brick-and-mortar location within an hour or two for no additional charge.

Hold on to those Black Friday ads, they are a good way to gauge whether a Cyber Monday deal is truly good.

Cyber Monday may actually be a better day than Black Friday to get a deal on name brand electronics. You’re likely to see more big names, compared to budget models that are used to get people in the doors on Black Friday.

Cameras are another electronic item that is much more likely to see a deal on Cyber Monday than Black Friday.

But electronics aren’t the only items you should be shopping for. Clothing, shoes and accessories typically see better sales on Cyber Monday than during thanksgiving weekend.

You’ll find a wide selection of coupon codes for apparel, electronics and other Cyber Monday items, just check the coupon code section at Coupons.com. You can also browse coupon codes on your phone with the Coupons.com mobile app.

Toys will be on sale, but if you’re not after one of the hot ticket items, you may find some of the best deals towards the end of December.

Some times when you abandon your shopping cart, retailers will send you a deal so you are more enticed to complete your purchase. Deals can take awhile to get to you, so if there is a store you know you want to shop at on Cyber Monday, create an account, load up your cart, abandon it and see if offers come in for the big day.

Click on a site’s live chat function if you have a question on your purchase or want to make sure you’re not missing a deal. Many think live chat is just for technical issues, but many are there to offer the same customer service you receive in store.

That’s how you can save big on Cyber Monday. Happy shopping!
