Black Friday starts a day early this year.

Take your pumpkin pie to go because Macy’s is opening their Black Friday doors a day early this year. Although Macy’s has yet to officially confirm their holiday schedule, employees say that some locations (including New York City and Chicago stores) will open their doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Neiman Marcus fantasy gifts are a marvel.

The famed Neiman Marcus Christmas Book has been released and while many gifts are out of our price range, it sure is fun to look at. This year’s big-ticket item comes in at $1.85 million. It’s called the diamond experience: It includes a 25-carat rough diamond (which is then customized into a ring), a trip to De Beers’ headquarters in London, and a trip to Africa to trace the diamond’s origins.

Affordable flights to Europe coming soon.

Imagine flying to Europe for just $300. That dream may be a reality sooner than you think. Airlines are adding Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner to their fleet, which makes low-cost transoceanic flights a possibility. Norwegian is one of the first airlines to snag them up, ordering 222 planes and already selling one-way, nonstop tickets from New York to Scandinavia for under $300.

Is Netflix coming to a TV set near you?

There are reports that Netflix is in talks with cable providers to make their online video service available through set-top boxes. Right now, Netflix subscribers need an Internet connected TV or device to stream Netflix to their television. This could eliminate the need for that extra hardware. It’s still in the negotiation phase, so stay tuned.
