February 22 marks the date of the 87th Annual Academy Awards, better known as, the Oscars! So get ready for your own red carpet moment by planning a star-studded Oscars viewing party for your friends. Invite them over early to rate the red carpet arrivals, and even play a fun game of Oscars bingo! We have everything you’ll need to plan a glamour-filled party at home.

Create a party table to hold all of your goodies. Place big gold stars on the wall for a star-studded backdrop. You can easily find these at your local party store like Party City. It will also make a cute backdrop for photos. Set the party table with a white tablecloth and cover with gold tinsel that you can purchase at a store like Family Dollar. Serve the food on white plates.

2015 Oscar Ballot

Your guests will have fun taking photos to post on Instagram during the show. Buy a gold fringed door cover at your local party store and place on top of a white plastic tablecloth or white sheet. Tape to a door or on a wall and have a few photos props on hand.
Oscar Chocolate Statue Favors

What You’ll Need:
- 1 bag white chocolate melts
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
- Gold sprinkles
- Red glitter tape
Line a pan with parchment. Melt chocolate and coconut oil in 30 second intervals. Pour into molds and top with gold sprinkles. Let set. Place in clear bags. Fold over and seal with red glitter tape.

Golden Honey Salted Popcorn
Popcorn is a movie awards must! Our honey salted popcorn is a little sweet and a bit salty. Make a big batch because this is one addictive recipe.
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespons honey
- 1 teaspoon Maldon salt flakes
- 6-8 cups white popcorn
- Gold sprinkles
Stir honey into melted butter until combined. Stir in salt and drizzle over popcorn. Mix well. Add gold sprinkles for flair
Remember the Oscar Statue Favors from above? These gold flecked shortbread cookies are a base for how they’re made. Rich and decadent, they will satisfy the sweet tooth.
- 1 dozen cookies
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature, plus more for pan
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 can Vanilla Frosting
- Gold Sprinkles
- 1 statue cookie cutter
If you have difficulty finding a cooking cutter download this template, cut it out and use knife to cut out or find a mummy cookie cutter as a substitute. Mix butter and sugar together until combined. Stir salt into flour and add to sugar mixture. Mix together to form a dough. Make a disc, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out dough on flour lined board. Cut out statues and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and cool. Coat each with a thin layer of frosting and cover with sprinkles.
Birdman Mango Chicken Lettuce Wraps
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken tenders, diced
- 1 bell pepper, finely julienned
- 1 mango, diced
- 1/4 cup grated carrots
- Small lettuce leaves or head of butter lettuce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 inch piece of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon chile sauce
- 1 – 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet mirin or dry sherry
Mix together all the sauce ingredients. Heat one teaspoon sesame oil in a medium saucepan. Place chicken in and sauce until cooked through. Add sauce, and cook for one minute. Place a spoonful in each lettuce wrap and top with bell pepper, mango and carrots. Serve with additional sauce on the side.
Toasted Ravioli with The Grand Buda-Pesto Sauce
- Olive oil cooking spray
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 tsp plus 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup fine Italian Seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 9-oz pkg bite-size cheese ravioli
- 1 cup Pesto
Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. In a shallow bowl, combine egg whites and whisk. One a plate combine bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
Dip one ravioli into egg mixture, turning to coat. Dip into bread crumb mixture, turning to coat and shaking off excess; transfer to baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ravioli, adding to sheet in a single layer. Bake, turning once, until lightly browned, 12 to 16 minutes. Divide among serving plates and serve with sauce.
