OK, everyone — it’s time to get organized once and for all! Home organization is one of those essential and ongoing tasks that is just as maddening as it is gratifying. We might not like the idea of having to go through our kitchen drawers or sorting through our closets, but we know that we’ll be pleased with the end result.
Here at The Good Stuff, we’re excited to launch an organization series of home hacks that will help you make the most of every room in your house. In this series for February, you will learn how to tidy your abode, with each post featuring a main area of the house, including:
- The bedroom — does making the bed each morning really matter?
- The bathroom — it’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!
- The kitchen — yes, organizing pots and pans and sorting through your pantry will make a big difference!
- The living room — nothing is more inviting than a well-organized main area.
- The office — no more asking yourself, “Where did I put that?”
- The closet — learn what to keep, what to donate and what to trash.
If you want some help organizing a specific room in your house, or you have a great idea to share with us, make sure to tag #homehacks and #thegoodstuffhomehacks on Pinterest and Twitter.
We’re finally getting around to those pesky areas that could use some serious organizing — drawers and closets to cabinets and shelves — as they always end up cluttered and in disarray. And while it may seem like a daunting task, a well-organized room is easier to keep clean and will therefore pay off in the long run. It won’t only save you time every day when you know where everything is, but it will also keep you sane by reducing your stress levels.
Clever solutions like stashing bed linens in baskets, storing bathroom essentials in mason jars, and keeping colored pencils sorted in utensil holders, are just a few of the ideas that make organizing doable, fun and aesthetically pleasing.
To ensure that we hit on all your organization hot spots, we’d love to hear your input.
