Store-bought yogurt typically contains just enough moisture to make ice crystals when frozen without added ingredients. Ice crystals show up in the final texture of frozen yogurt, making it crunchy and undesirable.
To counteract any added moisture in storebought yogurt, you’ll need to add both fat and sugar. Fat in the form of pure whipping cream. Sour cream adds extra fat plus a nice cheesecake flavor in the undertones. Sugar, in the form of sweetened condensed milk, will make a homemade fro-yo so good, it’ll rival most soft-serve ice cream.
Start by whipping the cream until it has soft peaks.

Homemade Greek Frozen Yogurt
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup Greek Yogurt, plain or vanilla
¼ cup sour cream
¼-1/2 cup Sweetened condensed milk (to taste)
1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
Whip whipping cream until soft peaks form. Once whipped, fold in Greek Yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla bean paste. Pour into a freezer safe container. Freeze for 3-6 hours, or overnight. Serve and enjoy!
