If I could sneak a peek at your date book, I’m guessing that between now and January 2nd, there’s a spate of holiday parties, happy hours and date nights on-the-town on the docket. And since it is the season of twinkly lights, sparkly ornaments and sequin-y sweaters, I don’t see the harm in upping the glitter game when it comes to going-out makeup. From lashes to fingertips, here are my all-time favorite best buys, found in the aisles of—where else?—your local drugstore, Target or Sally’s.
An important rule-of-thumb for rocking glitter as a grown-up:
-Pick one single feature to get your sparkle on. Yes, it’s the holidays, but combining a sparkly eye with glittery lips and an over-the-top manicure is never, ever a good choice. Pick one area to emphasize with some sparkle and keep the rest of your look subdued.
