I’m officially Instapot obsessed, and now that I’ve filled my family with some amazing meals, I’m ready to venture beyond dinner. My Instant Pot has worked hard in the short time I’ve owned it, earning a permanent spot on my counter (I can’t bear to store it away). With some kid-friendly meals under my belt, I’ve got a few recipes lined up that veer from the usual and may even surprise some Instapot newbies. Bone broth, anyone? My hair and nails have been begging me for this! And fresh jam is really going to impress my soon-to-arrive houseguests! I dare you to venture from your stewed chicken and rice and try any or all of the ideas in your Instant Pot below!

1. Instant Pot Desserts

Quite possibly the best thing I learned about the Instant Pot? It can make dessert. In case I needed confirmation about the Instant Pot’s awesomeness, I made the most incredibly moist and delicious cheesecake for dessert. Yum! I normally shy away from making cheesecake – the cracks and the guesswork of when it’s done have always left me disinterested. But the Instant Pot delivers with moist, dense, delicious cheesecake. From salted caramel to double chocolate, the Instant Pot can do it all! If we’re talking dessert, let’s not stop there. The Instant Pot also churns out a wide variety of sweet treats that will have you licking your plate – apple cake, crème brûlée, lava cake, rice pudding, bundt cake, and more!

Call it what you may, but breakfast will never be the same! A dab of fresh strawberry, blueberry, or peach jam on toast sounds absolutely divine to me! The Instapot can do fresh jam in minutes, so it’s totally worth skipping the store-bought version. Sterilize glass jars and you’ll have plenty to share!

Just another reason to love my Instant Pot. I can’t get enough of fresh stock, but I’m not so fond of spending hours babysitting the stove to make it. The Instapot cuts the time down considerably, making this a task I can actually tackle. Tasty chicken stock in 30 minutes? Skin-revitalizing bone broth in 2 hours? I’m sold!

I’ll admit, the thought of seafood in the Instant Pot had me a little squeamish, but I’m ready to give it a try after reading some rave reviews. It takes mere minutes to steam a whole fish, crab, or lobster. Try a seafood stew, paella, or shrimp boil straight in the insert for a warm meal on a chilly night. Crusty bread dipped in the sauce is a savory delight!

In minutes, you’ll have popcorn! The best part is that you can add your own melted butter and salt, making it just the way you like it!
