We can’t get enough of Halloween DIY décor. It seems the possibilities are endless! So, coupons.com asked bloggers to use Target coupon codes and create Halloween crafts that could be repurposed in their home afterwards. Our household savings expert, Jeanette Pavini, went on the Better Show this week to highlight some of the projects.
Candy Table Chalkboard Labels. This idea came from Kristin at Bliss at Home. She used paper straws, wood plaques and chalkboard paint to make these adorable candy labels. After Halloween, she’s using the white bowls for cereal and the glass jars to store dog food. Visit Bliss at Home for complete instructions.
Jeanette’s Tip: Use candy coupons to help fill those jars.
Cobweb Goblets. Cassie from Primitive & Proper made these spooky goblets. She used a white glass paint marker to draw webs on black stemware. If you can draw straight lines, you can tackle this simple, yet impressive craft! Visit Primitive & Proper to see how it’s done.
Jeanette’s Tip: Make it a bleeding cocktail. Freeze cranberry juice in ice cube trays. As it melts, your drinking will get a frightening touch.
Day of the Dead Vignettes. Julia of Cuckoo 4 Design created this skull wall art. She photocopied a skull picture from a Mexican Graphics book. Then her daughter helped her color it in with colored pencils. Once framed, the wall art truly looks professionally done. Visit Cuckoo 4 Design for step-by-step instructions.
Jeanette’s Tip: Repurpose the frames throughout the season to display kid’s artwork for all of the upcoming holidays.
