If you already shop at Aldi, you know this is one of the best places to find a wide variety of brands and some really great deals.
However, if you’ve never been to an Aldi before, you might be a little surprised at some of the differences. When you grab your cart, you’ll need to pay a 25-cent deposit — and don’t forget your own bags! On average, most grocery stores carry more than 30,000 different products, but at Aldi you’ll typically find only around 1,300 products. Also, Aldi doesn’t accept credit cards, so be sure you have plenty of cash and debit cards on hand.
But these are just some of the ways Aldi is able to cut costs on several common grocery items. When I shop at Aldi, there are several things I keep an eye out for because they’re almost always a much better buy than at competing stores. Here are 10 of some of the best Aldi products I’ve found during my shopping trips that you’ll be able to save on, too!

It’s worth the investment to purchase and maintain a carbon monoxide alarm in your home. The Kidde brand at Aldi sells for $14.99, but you’ll be paying almost $40 at Home Depot for the same alarm. Now that’s a bargain!
My family runs through tissues at lightspeed during cold and flu season, so I like to stock up before I really need them. This four-pack only costs $3.49, making it a great deal when everyone seems to come down with a cold at the same time.
Moms just know those new winter gloves are going to get lost, and that’s why spending a fortune on the latest kids’ winter gear may not be the best buy.
Luckily, you can find these waterproof gloves at Aldi for just $5.99, and they come in four different color combinations so your little one can pick which one they like best. Win, win!
4. Frozen pizza
Pizza is the perfect dinner for cuddling up together on the couch and enjoying a family movie night. Mom or dad can spend more time enjoying the film instead of cooking dinner with one of these tasty garlic bread pizzas — they’re just $3.99!
At the price of $1.79 this is a great deal for a bag of my favorite chips! Plus, you can divvy up this larger bag and fill about four smaller baggies with individual servings — perfect for snack time!
Whether you’re a white, red, or rosé connoisseur, Aldi has great prices on many varieties of wine. This bottle of Pinot Noir is just $5.99, making it a great buy for that dinner with friends, date night — or Thanksgiving! P.S. You can pair that wine with some delicious cheddar cheese for just $3.99 for a 7-ounce block. Yum!
If you’re like me, you love to drizzle honey on almost everything. Sadly, honey can be a little on the expensive side, but not at Aldi! This 12-ounce bottle is just $2.99 — half the price of a similar-sized bottle at other stores! And if you’re a jelly or jam kind of person, you can also find fruit spread for just $1.99 for a large 16-ounce jar.
This is the perfect time of the year to change your furnace filters, and these are a great deal at $6.99. These DuPont filters claim to reduce allergens, odors, and mold spores and come in a variety of sizes. Ahh, breathe that fresh air!
Sleeping in flannel sheets on a cold winter night is one my favorite things about winter. These cotton flannel sheet sets are priced at just $16.99, which is about half the price of what you’d find elsewhere at this time of the year.
Hummus is a tasty, healthy snack you don’t have to feel guilty about. You won’t feel guilty about the price at Aldi, either, because a tub of hummus is just $1.99!
