Gift wrapping is one of those things that starts out well and quickly goes downhill. Aside from rotating my rolls of wrapping paper, I run out of creative ideas quickly. I’m not a huge bow person and may depend on gift bags a little more than I should. Any ideas that can help me wrap my many gifts beautifully are needed!

1. Creative nametags

If you’re not a bow person, like me, try this trick! Wrap a gift in a plain paper, then add the recipient’s name in a creative way to add flair.
Use a stencil and an Xacto knife to cut out letters from the newspaper or other printed paper, then glue them to the package. If that’s too time consuming, head to the craft store and get stick on letters there. Either way, this package looks elegant and is a conversation piece!
2. Black & white

This trend is sweeping Pinterest and I love it! Use black kraft paper to wrap your gift, then use a white paint pen to draw on the package and write names.
This is such a clever look and lets you wrap quickly but with a creative flair that brings a sense of elegance to the package.
3. White paper & colored, patterned bow

This is a favorite of mine for elegance. I don’t think there is anything cleaner looking than a white package. Add a bold colored bow and you have a beautiful gift with little effort. Go simple with a boldly colored satin bow or add a patterned bow to make it even more special.
4. Use nature

Those beautiful, brown wrapped packages with a sprig of evergreen are so pretty and so easy to do. Buck the trend and add your foliage to any part of the package, like where you tape it shut, to add depth and creativity no one else is trying! This is inexpensive and anyone receiving your gift will appreciate your creativity.
5. Stack your packages

If you have many parts to a gift, stacking the packages and making them look like one is a great trick. I love the snowman stack, the Santa stack, and even a stack that has the same design all the way up the package. This may take a little more time, but it looks amazing under the tree and brings those special smiles we all love to see this season!
6. Use holiday decorations
I love the idea of using holiday decorations to enhance a package. Use holiday lights, small ornaments, and even candy canes to add that little extra to a package. The festive addition will make your gift look more appealing inside and out!
