Fight Heart Disease and Go Red for Women with These 5 Dress Picks

style-go-red-for-women

Today is National Wear Red Day! Do you know that one out of every three women die of heart disease? The good news is that 80 percent of cardiovascular disease can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes, according to the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women.

In order to create awareness, help women know their risks and educate them with prevention measures, the American Heart Association created the Go Red for Women campaign. And on Feb. 12, the Red Dress Collection 2015 will be unveiled, which is an event presented by Macy’s, where top designers, models and celebrities will demonstrate their support for women’s health.

With that said, I am picking five red dress styles that you can wear to show your support for this campaign.

Catherine Malandrino sure nailed this figure-flattering dress with a keyhole in the neckline. It teases the beholder with just a teeny-tiny bit of skin! Not to mention the flirty and playful drapes are a delightful diversion from your typical body con dress. Whether you’re going to church or a dinner with your beau, family, or friends, show your support to the Go For Red Women cause with this dress! Also available at Nordstrom.

3. Hailey Logan by Adrianna Papell Gown

It’s almost prom season and what better way to show your support and spreading awareness of the heart disease risks that women face than to wear a red gown to your prom. It doesn’t matter when your prom is, even if it’s after February, what matters is that you continue to educate women, both young and old, about heart disease and how they can prevent suffering from it.

This one-shoulder Haley Logan gown with one shoulder is absolutely gorgeous! The simple ruching, asymmetrical neckline, rhinestone details in neckline and back are truly what makes it beautiful. Available at Macy’s.

Price: Currently $199.00

4. Kensie Shirt Dress

Because you’re not going to an event everyday, casually sporting a shirt dress to show support is a go! This Kensie shirt dress with two side pockets is everything you need to wear for a day of errands, wash day at work, or going to school! The good thing about it is it’s something you can wear all year round because red never goes out of style and because it’s a shirt dress, it’s versatile all season, it will just depend on how you style it! Also available at Macy’s.

Price: Currently $89.00

5. Free People Boho Dress

Hope you will find something that you like in any of these dresses. Whatever you decide to get, remember why you’re wearing red and don’t forget to spread awareness and help other women, young and old, to live a healthy lifestyle to prevent heart diseases.
